The Mea from Fun Factory seduces us without even taking it out of its box. And for good reason, it comes with a 9 x 9 cm hard protective case. Sure, this case makes the Mea more imposing in the bag, but it protects it from knocks and makes its transport more hygienic and discreet from the gaze of others. Above all, it is the one that acts as a charger. It is also the only way to recharge the sex toy, which is a bit of a shame. What is less so is that Fun Factory has provided a USB-C port, finally! A universal charge for this type of toy is an exception. At the moment, in our comparison, only the Biird Namii has one.
After this discovery, we explore the sex toy in more detail. The Mea measures 7.5 x 6.9 x 3.4 cm and weighs just over 100g. Rather compact and with a well-designed silhouette, it fits the contours of our hand very well.
Three controls are positioned on the sex toy. A first red Fun button turns the Mea on and off. The other two modify the stimulation power and activate the different modes offered, five and three in number respectively. Said like that, everything seems clear and similar to using other sex toys.
Finally, when reading the instructions, things become complicated. Combinations offer other functionalities. The sex toy can lock its controls to avoid turning on unexpectedly: you must then press (+) and the red button, (–) and red to deactivate it. Continuous pressing on the (+) intensifies the suctions, while maintaining the (–) considerably reduces the stimulation. This option does not seem practical and we would have preferred a functionality similar to that of Lelo’s Cruise Control, which consists of releasing all its power when the sex toy is pressed strongly against you.
Either. With a mouth measuring 1.3 cm in diameter, the Fun Factory Mea requires you to aim carefully at the clitoris, unlike the Bouche Bée Ona and its mouth measuring 1.9 cm in diameter. And to titillate our pleasure organ, the Mea relies on its patented Magnetic Wave technology which creates negative pressure waves, and not pulsed air, like the Womanizer sex toys.
Finally, the sex toy can be taken in the shower or bath. This advantage also makes cleaning easier, as you simply run the Mea under water with a mild soap before storing it.
