FIFA announced this Friday that it will unveil on Saturday September 28 the stadiums which will host the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States.

The revelation of the selected sites will take place during the “Global Citizen Festival” in New York, which adds a special dimension to the event.

The tournament is scheduled from June 13 to July 15, 2025, with the participation of 32 teams from the four corners of the globe, including Wydad de Casablanca.

This edition will mark the first expanded version of the competition, which will see prestigious clubs like Real Madrid and Al Ahly join Wydad.

This Club World Cup is generating great excitement among football fans, since it will bring together the best clubs from the different confederations for a unique competition.

Indeed, this season, FIFA is preparing to launch a new format for the Club World Cup competition. This format will constitute a significant expansion.

Previously, the Club World Cup featured only seven teams from FIFA’s six confederations. One representing the winner of each confederation’s most important knockout competition.

Therefore, the winners of the Champions League would represent UEFA. They would be the only European club to participate. But this time, it will be a 32-team competition.

Teams from Europe’s top leagues enter the competition via the UEFA coefficient. Another major change: the Club World Cup will now take place at the end of the European club season, in the summer of 2025. Previously, the competition took place in winter.
