This Saturday, September 28, the city is celebrating with several events organized, including the broadcast on the big screen of Roger Vadim’s film And God created Woman in the evening.
In the streets of Saint-Tropez, everyone has their opinion about the former actress: we note her films, her commitment to animals, the symbol she represents for the city… “Without Brigitte Bardot, the city of Saint-Tropez would not exist as we know it!”smiled Robert. “We are very chauvinistic about everything she has done, her biography is enormous!”
Some also retain his very right-wing political opinions. “I did not necessarily appreciate all of his political positions, his extremism, nor am I always a fan of his choices in his private life”notes Lydie, before adding: “but it remains the symbol of an era, it has been adored all over the world!”

Near Saint-Tropez, there is a place which particularly symbolizes Brigitte Bardot’s birthdays: the restaurant the Corner on Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle. She celebrated no less than 27 times his birthday !

“She loves celebrating her birthday here: it’s always been simple, a café on the beach, the Gipsy Kings came to play for her a few times, it was always very good-natured!”remembers Manuel Urbini, the owner of the establishment. His father met BB more than 70 years ago: “My father was a fashion designer in the cinema at the time, he made costumes for her when she was still a ballerina.”
BB’s last birthday on Ramatuelle beach took place six years ago. She still comes to eat here regularly, and orders “grilled sardines and mussels”.
