Are the Dragons burning down their own house? In any case, after five days of the championship, Pat Emond’s men have only one victory. It was during their first match against Ajoie. Then they lost to Langnau, Rapperswil, Biel and now Kloten.

Friday evening at Schluefweg, we immediately felt the feverish people of Fribourg. They held on until Simon Seiler was sent to the locker room for a charge against Joel Marchon’s knee. At 5 against 4 for 5 minutes, Kloten opened the scoring (1-0) in the 13th minute.

Another penalty cost Friborg dearly. At the start of the second third, Andreas Borgman was on the bench when Nolan Diem made it 2-0. This goal is followed by 3-0 in the 27th and 4-0 in the 32nd.

Gottéron’s reaction came too late. Chris DiDomenico made it 4-1 before the second break. Returning from the locker room, Christoph Bertschy made it 4-2, but his goal was canceled due to an obstruction on Ludovic Waeber. A decision that really hurt the Dragons. They never really got over it.

Pat Émond tried everything by taking out his goalkeeper Bryan Rüegger four minutes from the end of the match. Marcus Sörensen took the opportunity to make it 4-2, but Kloten regained a three-point lead by finding the cage empty a few minutes later.

Gottéron will have to quickly recover. And without overwhelming Bryan Rüegger, it is obvious that the Dragons cannot do without Reto Berra, even if he has not delivered exceptional matches so far. It is therefore certainly him who will be lined up on Saturday evening for the arrival of the Zurich Lions at the BCF-Arena.
