The project aims to improve traffic and relieve congestion around the large stadium, which will host numerous sports tournaments, which will help facilitate the movement of visitors and residents.
The two corridors will be located in two strategic locations.

The first is located on rue Moulay Rachid, north of the stadium, while the second extends on rue de l’Armée Royale, south of the stadium, over a length of 1,000 meters. These two corridors aim to raise the city’s level of preparedness and prepare it to host major sporting events, improving traffic flow and meeting required international standards.

The plan also includes upgrading the infrastructure surrounding the stadium to ensure smooth traffic flow throughout.

With the aim of reducing travel times and relieving pressure on road routes, this project reflects Tangier’s commitment to strengthening its attractiveness as a tourist and sporting destination and is part of the overall efforts of the city to welcome visitors from all over the world.

Africa-Europe liaison

Still within the framework of improving its tourist infrastructure, the strait city is preparing to see the next bridge or tunnel (according to studies by Moroccan and Spanish technical experts), which will connect it to Europe in a distance of 14 km or a quarter of an hour by train with a Casablanca-Tangier-Madrid rail connection in four hours TGV in order to facilitate the travel of football fans from around the world for the 2030 Spain-Portugal-Morocco Cup.

In parallel with this grandiose project, the town hall plans to open three tram trains to serve the main neighborhoods and create for the first time a Place Faro cable car on Boulevard Pasteur – Port Marina. For its part, the football sports complex which has just been chosen by both CAF and FIFA respectively for the final phases of CAN 25 and for those of the 2030 World Cup, is undergoing redevelopment work, beautification and expansion according to international standards with a capacity of 80,000 spectators favored by the removal of the athletics track.

At the very last minute, the FIFA executive committee decided to send an inspection delegation to Tangier at the end of September to supervise the ongoing work on the redevelopment of the hotel and sports infrastructure: hotels, stadiums and training grounds.
