Free since the end of his contract in Perpignan, Shahn Eru will bounce back in Pro D2. He has signed with Béziers.
Béziers is strengthening in the second line. Pierre Gayraud, Cameron Dodson, Hans Nkinsi and the versatile Gilian Benoy are now joined by Shahn Eru. The New Zealander has signed for two seasons with the club with eleven Brennus shields. He will bring density to Pierre Caillet’s men’s pack with his 1m96 and his 118kg. He will also bring all his experience with his six seasons spent under the jersey of Perpignan.

Arriving in Catalonia in 2017 from the Bay of Plenty, he played 129 matches in the blood and gold jersey, including 61 in Pro D2 and exactly the same number in the antechamber of the elite. He also scored no less than 25 tries with Usap. Last season, he played ten matches, for three starts, all in Challenge Cup matches. Shahn Eru won the Pro D2 twice with Perpignan, in 2018 and 2021.
