Wissam Ben Yedder will not be placed in pre-trial detention until his trial for sexual assault while intoxicated, which is scheduled to take place on October 15 in Nice. Released after the events that took place on the night of September 6 to 7, 2024 (he admitted to the traffic offenses but denied the sexual assault), the attacker had been subjected to strict judicial control (obligation to report twice a week, ban on frequenting bars, ban on leaving his home between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., and obligation to seek treatment) while awaiting his trial.
