Brian Riemer is not spared from criticism and finds himself under fire. Former player Guillaume Gillet also does not view the Danish coach’s choices very favorably.
Time for Football has already been very critical of Riemer and believes that a dismissal was necessary. Gillet does not seem impressed by Riemer either.
Hiding behind the results
“Anderlecht has been playing badly for weeks and it was the same against Westerlo, except that this time, the club did not win. The club cannot hide behind the results,” he told RTBF.
For Gillet, it is also clear that Anders Dreyer should be left out of the team. He does not understand why the Dane continues to be a starter.
Because of his nationality?
“Is it because of his nationality?” he wonders. “It’s a shame. Last year he had impressive statistics. This year, nothing is working for him. But he plays every game. Why does a boy who is not performing well play every game when others deserve more and could have a chance?”
