The personal assistance of Christian Horner, at the heart of the affair, has just been suspended by Red Bull.
New twist in the Horner affair: Fiona Hewitson, Christian Horner’s personal assistant who had filed a complaint against her boss, has just been suspended by Red Bull with immediate effect.
Red Bull declined to comment on this information, which is being widely reported by the British press this afternoon.
Note that the young woman has been suspended, which means that there is no (yet?) breach of contract, knowing that she would have initiated legal proceedings against her employer.
The news comes shortly after it was revealed that the complainant was in an intimate relationship with Jos Verstappen, father of Max Verstappen, three-time Formula 1 world champion and star driver for the Red Bull team.
By suspending Horner’s personal assistant, Red Bull hopes to definitively put an end to this affair which has shaken the Formula 1 paddock for several weeks now. And this despite a total lack of transparency on the independent investigation which cleared the main team of Red Bull Racing…
