They did it. The Landes basketball players were finally the strongest this Sunday in Tarbes. Basket Landes is therefore qualified for the final of the French women’s championship where they will try to win the second title of French champions in their history. A qualification far from obvious against Tarbes.
On the Tarbais floor, the girls from Basket Landes finally qualified for the final by eliminating Tarbes (65-54). Players drunk with happiness and a jubilant audience.
At the end of the game, they can finally let their joy explode. “I’m so proud of my team because we didn’t give up.” exclaims Captain Clarince Djaldi-Tabdi.
We knew where we wanted to go. We struggled until the end but we went and got him. There we still have a final. I’m so happy !

A scenario that was not easily imagined a few hours before. Because the victory was acquired after a match full of twists and turns. The suspense was high and the game was far from won for the Landaises. With five points behind in the first leg (62-67), they absolutely had to win with more than five points difference.
At halftime, they were down by 10 points. Doubt sets in. But, undoubtedly buoyed by the fervor of their audience, they reversed the trend and snatched victory 65 to 54: they did it!
The fervor of the supporters helped them reach the final.

In the stands, the flags are dancing. Landes supporters will also experience a new final. Basket Landes will play on Saturday May 18, for the first time in its history, a first leg final at Mont-de-Marsan.
