The hotel belongs to the Chaîne Thermale du Soleil, which was founded by Adrien Barthélémy after the Second World War. It was one of the first establishments acquired, along with those of Molitg-les-Bains and Eugénie-Les-Bains. From three stars before renovation, it was transformed into five stars thanks to the restoration by Christine, daughter of Adrien Barthélémy and wife of Michel Guérard, and their daughter Éléonore. There we find the spirit and signature of Madame Guérard, in addition to the cuisine of the famous starred chef of Prés d’Eugénie. » underlines Damien Sancey, director of La Bastide en Gascogne.

If the hotel has just been distinguished again among 127 hotels in France by the award of a Michelin Key, it is because it was favorably evaluated, in complete discretion, by the selection team according to five criteria of excellence: architecture and interior design, quality of service, personality and character, value for money and the accommodation’s ability to be an open door to the destination in which it is located. “ The Michelin Key rewards the ultimate, it is awarded to establishments that offer the most remarkable hotel experiences » specifies the site.
