After an unsuccessful spell at Leganés in Spain, where he scored no goals in nine games, Sebastien Haller could well find form by returning to Utrecht, the Dutch club that launched his career. According to German media Bild, the Ivorian striker would welcome this return, after a disappointing experience in La Liga. Indeed, his loan to Leganés, where he only played 525 minutes, was marked by difficulties and a lack of playing time. His market value dropped from 10 to 3 million euros, and the former Ajax player himself says he is disappointed with his start to the season.
Haller back in Utrecht?
The idea of a return to Utrecht, where he played between 2015 and 2017, seems to appeal to Haller, who could relaunch his career at this club that he knows well. However, other options are also presenting themselves, including an offer from Dinamo Zagreb, who recently recruited Fabio Cannavaro as coach and want to strengthen their squad to get back into the title race in Croatia.
Borussia Dortmund, Haller's owner, hopes the striker will find a new base this winter to relaunch himself and restore momentum to his career. A nice rebound therefore seems possible for Haller, whether in Utrecht or elsewhere.
