The message from Idriss Saadi
“Dear friends, dear family, dear teammates, dear supporters,
Today, the 1st day of this year 2025, a special and dreaded moment presents itself to me.
The one where I turn to you to mark the end of a big chapter in my life. After years of passion, effort, victories and defeats, I made the decision to say goodbye to what marked 19 years of my life.
The journey has not always been easy, but it has been immensely rewarding. Every training, every match, every challenge has shaped the person I am today. Through football, I learned essential values: work, perseverance, discipline, but also humility and respect.
Above all, I would like to thank my different clubs, who believed in me and pushed me.
A big thank you also to my teammates, with whom I shared unforgettable moments and some of whom became much more than teammates.
Thank you to all my coaches that I have had throughout this humble career.
And of course Thank you to those who live this passion with us and are an integral part of this sport,
I'm talking about you SUPPORTERS. Your support, your encouragement, your cries of joy or disappointment, make us experience indescribable emotions.
Today, I am leaving the competition scene, but I will never forget what has driven me all these years: the passion for this sport, the desire to surpass myself. It is not a farewell, but rather a goodbye, because I will continue to follow the new generations and keep this unwavering link with what has allowed me to live exceptional experiences.
Sports retirement is also a time of reflection, gratitude, and optimism for the future. I am now entering a new stage of my life, but sport will continue to be a part of me, in one form or another.
As they say, all good things come to an end and you have to know how to accept them.
Thank you everyone, thank you for everything. See you soon on the pitch, or elsewhere, but always with this same passion in me.
Sportingly,
Saadi Idriss”
