After disappointing results in the Champions League, Luis Enrique's tactics are questioned by his locker room.
The Paris Saint-Germain lost in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid, during a meeting where the Parisians, at home, largely dominated the debates. Yet, it was the Spaniards who demonstrated realism. A defeat which does not do the business of the French club, which is in 25th place in the Champions League rankings. Crucial matches against Bayern Munich and Manchester City await them.
In Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain continues its domination. But on the European level, it's another story. With only one victory against Girona, the Parisians are unable to win. Against PSV and Madrid at home, PSG showed themselves to be far too harmless or far too clumsy in front of the goals. One of the people most criticized and considered at fault is the coach, Luis Enrique. The Spaniard continues to advocate his ideas to his players, but it could be questioned. According to the X account @Djaameel_, known by the Parisian community, the players would show more and more reluctance regarding the Spanish tactician's game plan. The team's play would be categorized as sterile and predictable.
Luis Enrique, truly the man for the job?
Wherever Luis Enrique went, he always wanted to impose his ideas. In Spain, Italy or France, the former Barça player remains true to himself. He wants the team to play according to his vision, and some PSG players suffer the consequences. His non-use of a number 9 is contested by the Parisian management. While the club is reportedly interested in Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres, the Spaniard would be opposed to the arrival of the Sporting striker. In addition, Randal Kolo Muani is no longer part of his plans, because he prefers to align Asensio or Désiré Doué as false number 9.
Still according to Djamel, management would keep an eye on Luis Enrique and his performances. The next Champions League matches will have a certain importance for the future of the Spaniard on the sidelines of Paris Saint-Germain.
