Incident in Saint-Mandé, France involves police shooting of young man

In Saint-Mandé, in Val-de-Marne in France, a young man aged 22 was seriously injured after being hit by police fire during the night from Saturday to Sunday.
According to information from the local press, relayed by the Créteil public prosecutor's office, the victim brandished a weapon and threatened the police, which led to shooting. A video posted online by the Urgence Violences Policières (UVP) collective on social networks shows the young man facing the police. We can hear several gunshots, then see the young man collapse.
Two investigations have been opened to clarify the circumstances of this incident. The first is carried out by the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN) and aims to determine whether the officers fired in self-defense. The second investigation focuses on accusations of attempted murder of a person holding public authority, as well as threats and carrying weapons.
