A 33-year-old man was shot dead in Pont-Audemer (Eure) on the night of Friday November 22 to Saturday November 23, 2024. The information, revealed by our colleagues from L'Eveil, was confirmed to us by a source judicial.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim was a passenger in a car when she was killed. “An unknown number of individuals fired at the vehicle“, specifies a source close to the case. The man who was driving the car was not injured and managed to reach the nearest fire station. The passenger died on the spot, without help being able to reach him in help.
According to the same judicial source, the two men are very unfavorably known to the justice system“. It would likely be a settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking. The victim resided in Pont-Audemer.
The Evreux public prosecutor's office opened an investigation into organized gang murder and attempted murder by an organized gang and referred the matter to the research section of the Rouen gendarmerie in collaboration with the Pont-Audemer gendarmes.
“All useful investigations are carried out in order to identify and arrest the perpetrators of these facts, which confirm the growing problem of violence and settling of scores linked to drug trafficking.“, underlines the Evreux public prosecutor's office.
