“They’re not going to come right away and take out the checkbook”
Thus, regarding the future recruitment of Paris FC, Daniel Riolo said: “ I imagine that this winter, or rather I am sure, two or three players will come to strengthen the squad to complete the climb to Ligue 1. And after that it will be the field of possibilities, the promises above all… because that in football as in politics we start above all with promises. (…) It’s a new adventure and we say to ourselves that he will build a great team, a competitor to PSG and that it will perhaps bring a little bit of life back to Ligue 1. Obviously it’s good news. But that’s where you also have to calm your excitement, because it’s not going to go very quickly. They’re not going to come right away and take out the checkbook ».
“We are excited but they calm this excitement”
Daniel Riolo then continued about the project of Paris FC : « The club is not attracting crowds at the moment so we will have to create an audience, we will have to create a team. And they are in no hurry because they want to be involved in the long term. (…) There is the excitement of the arrival of the Arnault family, the flagship of French industry, but we also have to be patient because they themselves are sending messages in this direction. We’re excited but they calm that excitement ».
