Young attacking midfielder Ibrahim Maza has officially changed his sporting nationality according to the Germany U20 coach.

The 18-year-old player who plays for the Mannschaft U20s has, according to Hannes Wolf, chosen to play for Algeria from now on. This is what he announced in an interview.

The Berlin native, considered a great hope for German football, has therefore decided to play for Algeria, which would mean that he would soon be called up to the senior team.

Maza, who played his first Bundesliga match at the age of 17 against Bayern Munich in April 2023 and scored in the process against Wolfsburg, is now a regular player for Hertha Berlin in Bundesliga 2.

After an adaptation 2023/2024 season, he started the new one as an undisputed starter with two goals and two assists in seven games.
