Lost in the open countryside while preparing the wine route, César, Elise and Arthur, in other words the cream of the judicial police, legal medicine and occupational medicine, arrive by a combination of circumstances on the scene of 'a crime where the body of an English critic, specialist in Alsace wines, and author of the best-seller “Un Rosbeef au pays de la choucroute”, has just been discovered. The first clues lead the police to the Koehler estate, a family wine business run by Bruno, who is none other than the cousin of the commissioner (Joséphine de Meaux). An investigation made all the more delicate by the fact that the English sent an observer to follow the investigations. César will therefore not have much time to referee the confrontation between Samia Belkacem (Nadia Roz) and Lieutenant Saskevitch (Coralie Russer), back in the team after several months of absence.

In addition to the pleasant duel between the two lieutenants which borders on cockfighting, the humor is always present, notably through the characters of Gil Alma, Olivia Cote and Amaury de Crayencour (sometimes confused with another actor!) . If this plot therefore sees the return of the blonde girl, it also sees – less joyfully – the departure of a recurring character. Among the guests, the public will find Bruno Solo in the skin of the cousin who loses his sight (a role which is reminiscent of the one he played in Cain), Sophie Le Tellier (Alexandra Ahle), or Ginnie Watson (Angèle in Here it all begins) with a perfect English accent. Note that Joubert, the clumsy cop who is gaining momentum, is played by Benoît Joubert, Gil Alma's sidekick with whom he is starring in the show Gil Alma and Benoît Joubert (re)united, and from whom the actor took a little inspiration to imagine César Wagner. To summarize, between the intrigue at the heart of a wine estate, the comedy and the casting, this episode will satisfy fans of the series.
