Marrakech – Despite the intense heat hitting the Ocher City, many people gathered in front of the doors of the Majorelle Garden, the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech to enjoy free entry to the occasion of the third edition of the Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces (NMEC).

At 6 p.m., these three iconic locations opened their doors, welcoming visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Visitors had the unique opportunity to stroll the paths of the Jardin Majorelle, a haven of peace designed by the French painter Jacques Majorelle in 1923, and to browse the exhibition rooms of the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts and the Yves Museum Saint Laurent Marrakech, where collectibles and works of art are exhibited.

To guarantee an exceptional experience and celebrate the arrival of summer through light and culture, the Jardin Majorelle Foundation has implemented optimized management of visitor reception by limiting the number of entries per time slot and by installing specific lighting to highlight the lushness and diversity of the garden as well as the architecture of the museums.

“We are happy to open the doors of the Majorelle Garden free of charge to residents and visitors of the Cité ocre, from 6 p.m. to midnight, in order to promote museum culture among families and younger generations and to encourage openness to others cultures,” Alexis Sornin, director of the Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech and Pierre Bergé Museums of Berber Arts, told MAP.

Mr. Sornin also underlined that all employees of the Jardin Majorelle Foundation mobilized to guarantee the success of this cultural evening, ensuring that all the necessary conditions, particularly in terms of lighting and security, were met. to allow visitors to fully enjoy their experience, a true celebration of culture.

Visitors expressed their satisfaction with the “Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces” initiative, organized by the National Museum Foundation, the Majorelle Garden Foundation and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, which allowed them to discover these emblematic places of Marrakech.

This exceptional event celebrating the start of summer offers the public of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to visit free of charge, from 6 p.m. to midnight, several museums and cultural spaces located in different cities in Morocco including Oujda, Tetouan, Tangier, Assilah, Fez, Meknes, Rabat, Casablanca, Safi, Azilal, Marrakech, Essaouira and Agadir.

The evening was chosen to highlight this event in a summer atmosphere, where each step promises an adventure, each look an encounter with history, art and culture, and each creation an invitation to discovery and sharing .
