American presidential election: Beyoncé, Matt Demon, Kanye West… who are the celebrities behind the two candidates?

On the eve of the American election, the stars are increasing their support for the two candidates. While Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are neck and neck in the polls, the slightest winning percentage could swing the vote.

The election is being held in a few hours and neither candidate appears to be clearly ahead in the polls. The number of celebrities ready to support Donald Trump and Kamala Harris has continued to grow in recent days. The Democratic candidate was able to appreciate having Beyoncé at her side, who made a notable appearance at the Democrat's meeting in Houston, Texas, on October 25. Singers such as: Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Stevie Wonder, Lizzo… all have chosen their camp: it will be the Democratic party.

She can also count on other significant support, both in the world of sports and the big screen. There we find Eminem, basketball players Stephen Curry and LeBron James, Matt Demon, Jennifer Aniston, the former Republican governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and the famous actor George Clooney.

Paul Logan, Tyson Fury, Elon Musk…

As for the former President of the United States, he too can count on the support of celebrities. Joe Exotic, the renowned host Joe Rogan, the rappers Kanye West and Lil Pump, the wrestlers Hulk Hogan and Undertaker, Tyson Fury, the Youtube star Logan Paul and even the president of the UFC, Dana White, clearly displayed their voting intention.

Without forgetting the considerable support of billionaire Elon Musk, who does not hesitate to put his hand in his pocket to encourage Americans to vote for the Republican.

A limited effect?

But did the stars have a real impact during the presidential campaign? According to a recent survey of YouvGov11% of Americans say a celebrity has made them reconsider their stance on a political issue; and 7% say one of these stars encouraged them to vote for a certain candidate.

However, another study carried out in 2024 by the Harvard Kennedy School showed that celebrities can increase voter registration, especially among young people.

In 2020 for example, Kylie Jenner posted a voter registration link, in the process, a 1,500% increase in traffic and an 80% increase in the total number of users registering to vote could be noted, as reported by our colleagues from Liberation.
