While accumulating his new status as a sports educator, Nestois Clément Ozun once again won an edition of the French climbing bouldering cup which took place in St Leu on Reunion Island this November 16 and 17, 2024 .
He thus shares the podium with the two international climbers: Max Bertone (Austral Roc La Réunion) and Mathieu Ternant (Ardèche Climbing Club).
Second by successfully completing the 12 qualifying blocks in 16 attempts while Bertone was ahead of him with 14 attempts, he won the final by completing two blocks alone out of four proposed while his competitors remained stuck at one achievement.
A great way to adapt to the “intense” island where he was recruited to train young elite athletes on the largest structure in the Indian Ocean in St André.
In fact, he had to leave L'Usine Escalade de Tarbes which was close to his heart, the management of which is not yet structured for a real regional sports development project.
The demand was too great to join the Réunion League, whose reputation and structure are no longer in doubt, offering athletes in almost every category of French teams for more than a decade.
