He gave his first concert in Los Angeles on December 13, in the theater of the French high school he attended, under the name Léon Hesby.
The young man chose not to bear the name Bruel to “to move forward on one's own path” he recently explained to Gala magazine. However, there is no question of denying his parentage, on the contrary Hesby makes a direct reference to it: “Hes” means the S of Sthers and “by” the B of Bruel.
And to confide to our colleagues: “My father helps me by giving me advice but he will never make my task easier because, once again, we have an awareness of work in the family, of effort, of merit. I was raised like that.” And his first performance was praised by his two parents who are very proud of their child.
