The 2025 Formula 1 season is distinguished by a starting grid mixing experienced champions and ambitious beginners, in a context marked by numerous team changes. Only McLaren and Aston Martin retained their driver pairs, making the field significantly different from last year.
Some teams are already preparing for the introduction of the new technical regulations in 2026, but this does not rule out possible adjustments at the end of the season. At Red Bull, Liam Lawson, teammate of Max Verstappen, is under contract until the end of 2025.

On the Mercedes side, George Russell is coming to the end of his contract, while Kimi Antonelli, new recruit, is confirmed until 2025. At Alpine, Jack Doohan is starting his first full season, but will have to convince to extend the adventure.
Finally, Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar, both at Racing Bulls, are also signed for a single year, leaving the grid open to possible upheavals between now and 2026.
