If he is the discreet type, or even very discreet, Jean-Jacques Goldman knows that others are responsible for telling the anecdotes about him. This is the case of Nagui, who, saved by the famous musician, nevertheless could not help but slip in a remark of which he readily admits “not being proud”!

A reference presenter of the PAF for many years now, Nagui has hosted countless shows. But if all of them necessarily have a special place in his eyes, the one of which he is most proud probably remains “Taratata”, a musical program launched in 1993, and whose 30th anniversary was celebrated with great fanfare recently.

A great music enthusiast, the native of Alexandria fought for the program to find a place on the air and continue there, but he did not achieve it alone. In fact, without Jean-Jacques Goldman, it is a safe bet that “Taratata” would be nothing more than a distant memory, and this for two very specific reasons.

Nagui reveals how Jean-Jacques Goldman saved him

Indeed, in an interview with “Télé 7 Jours”, Nagui first revealed that the show’s credits had been composed by Goldman himself, despite his initial reluctance:

He first replied: “I’ve never done that.” And then: “But what a name! Taratata! How do you want? » Yet he did it. And the show is still there.

Two months after the incident, Nagui spoke about Kendji Girac: “What happened to him, that…”

But beyond this offering, it is another event which deeply marked the host, he who was saved by Goldman at the last minute. On France 2, he explained:

We have an artist who cancels (William Sheller, editor’s note). They have already planned to put a TV movie as a replacement from the second broadcast. We are ridiculous. When I ask Jean-Jacques to come and save us, he tells me: “Listen, I’ve already done the credits, now you’re asking too much of me! »

36 hours later, it’s 2 a.m., he calls me and says: “Have you found someone?” » I say: “No, obviously I haven’t found anyone” He says to me: “If I come alone with my guitar, is that okay? » There are tears coming to your eyes. He felt that I was really in trouble, and he went even further than anyone could imagine.

Obviously very grateful to Goldman since then, and rightly so, Nagui couldn’t help but slip in a teasing quip which he knows the secret to. Smiling, he explained:

I’m not proud! I had to make the umpteenth joke that he had heard in his voice by saying to him: “But will you promise me, if you are successful, to take singing lessons? »

Those who know him know: Jean-Jacques Goldman is a man with a big heart, capable of moving mountains for his friends. Nagui learned it that evening when he was at his worst, and he will never forget what the singer of “I walk alone” did for him by getting him out of this very bad situation.
