KOZ Entertainment is taking steps to protect ZICO.
Recently, Koreans return to the strange case of the burglary which took place at Goo Hara’s home after his death.
After the robot portrait of the thief was revealed, Internet users began to accuse ZICO of being the burglar in question.
On June 24, his agency then released a statement to protect him from these rumors:
“Hello, this is KOZ Entertainment.
We have confirmed that numerous malicious messages and comments defaming, insulting and spreading false information about our artist Zico have been published indiscriminately on various online communities and social media platforms.
In particular, malicious rumors and false information that have been clearly proven to have no relation to our artist have reached a level of severity that cannot be ignored, so we have determined that strong legal action against them was urgent.
As a result, we collected evidence of posts and comments from various online communities and social networks and filed a complaint with the investigating authorities. We plan to continue to regularly collect evidence of malicious posts and file complaints periodically. Additionally, we would like to clarify that the recent rumors related to the artist are also false and we will respond to them firmly as well.
We will take strict action against malicious post authors based on evidence collected from fan reports and our own monitoring to protect the artist’s rights and interests. Even if it takes time, we will hold them accountable until the end. There will be no leniency or settlement under any circumstances.
