INTERVIEW. “I made a 180 degree turn”: after “Koh-Lanta”, the new life of Corentin Albertini, between football and real estate

the essential
Adventurer of “Koh-Lanta” in 2017 then winner of “Friends Trip” in 2018, Corentin Albertini voluntarily turned his back on his life as an influencer to devote himself to real estate. Lover of Gers and passionate about football, the captain of Ségoufielle will also offer himself a new challenge under the colors of Isle-Jourdain next season. Encounter.

You became known thanks to your participation in Koh Lanta in 2017. What memories do you have of it after so many years?

It’s been 7 years so it’s a bit behind me. I hardly talk about it anymore but when I watch the show, obviously, there’s always a bit of nostalgia. I don’t talk about it much anymore but it was an extraordinary experience, it leaves a lasting impression.

Do people still talk to you about it?

Yes of course, even on the football fields. I know very well that I am always well received when we play in Pavia or elsewhere. On the sides, it sticks out a little but that doesn’t bother me, it’s still good-natured. There is no problem with that.

You also won the show “Friends Trip”, participated in “Angels of Reality TV”… Which show do you remember the most?

The most striking remains “Koh-Lanta” because it is the first, it is the adventure. We don’t know where we’re going, we’re cut off from the world, so it’s the most striking. Afterwards, the victory at “Friends Trip” was exceptional too. It was a month-long road trip with tests every day in Bali, there was pressure, eliminations… Everything I love. The victory remains incredible, it was crazy. But it was more “reality TV”, we were less cut off from the world.

Since you returned, no Dubai for you: are you keeping your Gers roots?

Not from Dubai, no (laughs)! I have nothing against these people, they make their choices, but I am too attached to my life here, my family, my friends and my wife. I love traveling, we travel a lot, but I can’t live outside of here, I have everything here… And I don’t mind paying my taxes in France (laughs)!

Besides, have you given up on your life as an influencer?

Yes, I did it for three years, but I got tired of it. Product placements are very good but I had done the trick so, from one day to the next, I preferred to pursue my true passion. I have always been a real estate agent and I knew very well that this was the profession that suited me the most. That’s why I did a 180 degree turn.

Have you started your own agency?

It was more my partner’s idea to set up an agency. I knew I wanted to return to the profession but we share the same vision and the same values. One Sunday afternoon, at the edge of the L’Isle-Jourdain rugby field, he said to me: “Coco, I want to set up my company. I want you to come with me and we can set it up together.” It took me a little time to decide but so we created everything in 2020. There were two or three of us at the start and now there are around twenty of us. We cover the western sector from Toulouse to Auch, via Granada and Samatan. By the end of the year, we will open a new agency in L’Isle-Jourdain of 200 m2.

Alongside your agency, have you kept a foothold in the associative world, particularly in football?

I spent quite a few years at L’Isle-Jourdain, a season at Fonsorbes and for the past 3 years, I have been in Ségoufielle to play with childhood friends. We had three amazing years, it was great. We moved up last year and this season, we finished second in D1.

From the following season, will you take on a new challenge?

I’m going to be 31, I wanted a new challenge. At L’Isle-Jourdain, there are a lot of things that are changing, the club has really become structured. Since I still have my brother playing there, I’m going to do one last year with him. My father is a coach there too.

And you don’t come alone!

I left Ségoufielle on good terms and I get along well with everyone. We didn’t want to leave as a group of 50, but we arrived as a group of five, with my childhood friends.
