All good things come to an end, even your favorite series. Among the best established in Great Britain, one of them has just said stop: THE Vera’s Investigations. Brenda Blethyn bids farewell to Vera Stanhope’s character

Before bowing out, actress Brenda Blethyn said goodbye to her double in a message posted on social networks. A statement full of emotion, highlighting the teamwork that allowed the series to last this long: “Working on Vera’s Cases was a joy from start to finish, and I’m sad to say goodbye. But I’m so proud of all of our accomplishments over the past fourteen years. I will be forever grateful to -vis the wonderful Ann Cleeves, who created Vera, and Elaine Collins, who saw fit to choose me for this role. The producers, the dream cast, the whole team were fabulous and I will miss them. but I will not forget the immense talent, the sense of camaraderie, the laughter and the kindness shared, I will not forget the friendship of all the inhabitants of the North East and of our fans all over the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
