“Like every year, we met in Combes for a friendly meal, concocted by our friendly and efficient caterer, Jérôme Canredon,” began Michèle Joseph Edmond, president of the Amicale de la Vallée de l’Enne.
For this traditional country day, 98 members were present to share memories, get news, discuss everything and nothing, in a good mood. The atmosphere was warm and despite the current general outlook being bleak, it was an opportunity to get out of the house, break the solitude, and take a break from current affairs.
“Some of our members were absent for health reasons, we wish them a speedy recovery and send them as many positive thoughts as possible.”
The president did not fail to thank the new arrivals in the association, and recalled: “We have reached 150 registrations, this gives us real happiness, knowing that they are seniors and that their goal is to ‘escape to clear your mind.’
The group’s next meeting will be in November for the General Assembly, the date of which will be announced very soon.
