Armeau. 55 years of friendship, 10 years of reunion…. “55 years of friendship, 10 years of reunions…” This excerpt from the guestbook of the Sens technical high school sums up the three days that about twenty former students of the Sens LTN (now the Joliot-Curie high school), gathered together as a friendly group, have just spent at CAP France, the holiday village in Armeau. About twenty students who entered the second year of high school in 1967, septuagenarians who have been meeting up every year for the past ten years, accompanied by “exchanges”.
A prosperous period
“After a general second, we had four technical options, including electronics: it was the beginnings of computing,” recalls Jacqueline Simonnet. In this prosperous period of the thirty glorious years, we all succeeded in careers in the most diverse fields: computer science of course, but also architecture, public works… The one who goes there is “Mr. Turf”: his company supplies large football fields, it is called upon to develop exceptional spaces abroad…”
The reunion started in 2014 with a small group which grew each year. Note that four couples are from this promotion, two of whom have been married for more than 50 years! The Association has produced a guest book, remarkable for its documentation: among the souvenir photos of the time, the bac E maths test, in 1970, gives the shivers…
