Are you in front of your TV and wandering around looking for a film to watch alone, with family or friends? No need to exhaust yourself, we’ve gone through the program to find 3 cool films to enjoy to end the week in style.

La ch’tite famille (TF1, 9:10 p.m.)

Constance Brandt and Valentin D., a couple of very popular architect designers, are preparing to go to their opening at the Palais de Tokyo. What was expected to be a moment of glory risks turning into a fiasco.

In fact, Valentin had lied about his working-class and ch’tis origins to fit into the Parisian bourgeoisie. When his family arrives there, it’s a real culture shock. Moreover, Vincent, who has just had an accident, has lost his memory and has returned to the man he once was.

Without being a masterpiece, this French comedy should allow you to have a good time. Especially since it brings together the best of French cinema: Dany Boon, Line Renaud, Laurence Arné, Valérie Bonneton, Guy Lecluyse, François Berléand, and even the legendary Pierre Richard.

Man of Steel (TFX, 21h05)

Here is the official synopsis provided by Warner Bros:

A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and that he is not from earth. He then sets out on a journey to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero within him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become a symbol of hope for all humanity…

This feature film by Zack Snyder is well worth the detour and perfectly succeeds in its mission: to show us the emergence of Superman and his first adventures.

The green line (TF1 Séries-Films, 9 p.m.)

It is 1935 in a prison in the South of the United States. A guard develops a touching and atypical relationship with an inmate who has a magical and miraculous gift. It would be a shame to tell you more and we’ll let you discover the rest.

Either way, you have to see this nugget from Frank Darabont who wonderfully adapts Stephen King’s novel. Special mention to Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan who shine on the screen in their respective roles.

That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular The lady ( 2, 9:10 p.m.), Josey Wales hors-la-loi (Arte, 9 p.m.), and Daddy Cool (W9, 9:10 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week’s gems in replay by rereading our previous article here.
