The Maison de la Presse Babacar Touré expressed his regret at the cancellation of the press conference initially scheduled for this Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. This meeting, organized by the Council of Broadcasters and Publishers of the Press of Senegal (CDEPS), could not take place in the premises of the Maison de la Presse due to non-compliance with the required administrative procedures, according to general manager Sambou Biagui.
According to the official press release, associations bringing together professionals or employer representatives must send a written request to the Director General for free access to the rooms. This formalism allows the institution to effectively plan the use of its spaces according to their availability.
La Maison de la Presse recalled its fundamental mission, which consists of offering a support framework to Senegalese press professionals, by serving as a resource center meeting the needs for autonomy, exchanges and capacity building.
