This week, the three French people on the PGA Tour are meeting in San Diego, California. DP World remains in the United Arab Emirates. The Asian Tour and the Challenge Tour launch their seasons in the Philippines and South Africa respectively.
PGA Tour : Farmers Insurance Open, Torrey Pines Golf Course, San Diego, Californie

It is with a very different status from that of last year that Matthew Pavon presents this week at Farmers Insurance Open. It was during this event in 2024 that the Bordeaux player became a winner on the PGA Tour. He is accompanied by his two compatriots Victor Perez et Antoine Rozner. Note that the tournament, as usual, starts on Wednesday.
DP World Tour: Ras Al Khaimah Championship, Al Hamra GC, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates

The DP World Tour leaves Dubai to go a little further north to Ras Al Khaimah. There are obviously many fewer stars than last week for this tournament with $2.5 million. The three French people titled on this circuit in 2024, Julien Guerrier, David Ravetto et Frédéric Lacroix are there with eleven other compatriots including, little surprise, Martin Trainer. The Franco-American benefits here from the footbridge PGA Tour-DP World Tour for players who finished above 125th place in the FedEx Cup in 2024.
Asian Tour : Philippine Open, Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, Manilles, Philippines
From January 23 to 26
The 2025 Asian season begins in the Philippines with a $500,000 event. Julien Sale et Gary Stall are part of the journey, unlike Joel Stalter. The two Tricolores face a signed route Jack Nicklaus where 16 of the 18 holes are bordered by water.
Challenge Tour: SDC Open, Zebula Golf Estate & Spa, Limpopo, South Africa

This week also marks the debut of Challenge Tour with several tournaments co-sanctioned by the Sunshine Tour. Nine Tricolores are from this first, including Very Bastien et Clement Sordet who come down from DP World Tourunable to enter the field in Ras Al Khaimah.

Paul Barjon will try to do better this week after missing the cut at the start of the season. The next events will take place in South America.

Tuesday January 21 (broadcast the next day on Golf +)
-THE Atlanta Drive GC enter the competition this Tuesday. The team composed of Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel et Justin Thomas face the New York Golf Club. The latter, led by Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick et Cameron Younghas revenge to take after being soundly beaten at the opening of the league.
