The candidate of the union of the left Lyes Louffok and the Macronist candidate Camille Galliard-Minier qualified, Sunday January 12, for the second round of the early legislative elections for the 1st constituency of Isère, an election marked by participation at half mast. Eleven candidates were in the running in this constituency which brings together Grenoble and its upscale suburbs to succeed the outgoing LFI deputy, Hugo Prevost, who had to throw in the towel in October after being accused of sexual and gender-based violence.
At the level of the constituency, very divided between Grenoble, which votes very left, and the other municipalities, the total participation amounts to 35.86% for this first round, against 75.86% last June. Lyes Louffok (28.33%) and Camille Galliard-Minier (26.57%) came first in the first round ahead of LR candidate Nathalie Béranger (16.77%).
In Grenoble, the candidate of the New Popular Front, a 30-year-old child rights activist, came well ahead with 40.95% of the votes, far ahead of the Macronist candidate, who collected 18.99% of the votes. , while the majority of the other municipalities preferred Camille Galliard-Minier, former lawyer of the Lyon bar.
