Monday March 6, France 2 offers Snow, a detective TV film with Frédéric Diefenthal shot, as its title suggests, in the mountains! Télé-Loisirs tells you where.
This Wednesday January 8, 2025, France 2 takes us to the mountains with Snow (our opinion on fiction). The investigation led by police captain Thomas Delhaye, a battered cop played by Frédéric Diefenthal (who is full of praise for this TV movie) leads him and his team on the trail of a man who was active with his partner eight years previously in the region. A sordid crime, a returning killer, the accomplice of said murderer released from prison for the purposes of the investigation, all the ingredients of good entertainment are there. Without forgetting the… icy setting.
Snow : Where was the France 2 fiction filmed with Frédéric Diefenthal?
Like the teams of Best of us and of Black track, technicians and actors Snow headed towards Savoie and the Haute Maurienne valley. If the actors of Black Track all spoke of a difficult climate, the interpreter of Snow, he was luckier. “There was a snowstorm the day before filming, tell Frédéric Diefenthal. Which was pretty good since he was just starting to run out! Then the weather was nice, it was sunny. Besides, if you notice carefully, fiction never takes place in grayness. I have already filmed two or three times in the high mountains and I still remember, but there were never difficult filming conditions. Murielle [Huet des Aunay, sa partenaire, ndlr] had a few nice scenes in the snow, and me two or three, but honestly it was okay. […] Filming in Combloux and the region was a good choice of location, because we are not overwhelmed by the mountains: they are there, we see them but there is also a perspective.”
The Haute Maurienne valley, backdrop for another fiction in preparation
The Haute Maurienne valley also served as a setting for Dead at the top, the continuation of Black as snow with Laurent Gerra, who attracted 5.39 million viewers during its broadcast on November 17, 2021. For this occasion, the actor found the costume of Andreas Meyer, the silent captain of the Swiss police who will collaborate again with Constance Vivier, a gendarme from the PGHM, the high mountain gendarmerie platoon, always played by Clémentine Poidatz. Without forgetting the third part, entitled Hors Limites and broadcast a few weeks ago on the public channel.
