We remember that it fell well last November. Snow is forecast again in Seine-Maritime this Wednesday, January 8, 2025. A vigilance orange is issued by Météo France.
Up to 10cm of snow in Seine-Maritime?
The department, like the Somme, Pas-de-Calais and Nord, is placed on snow-ice alert tomorrow, from 3 p.m.for a “winter episode not remarkable for the regions concerned but sufficiently notable to make traffic conditions difficult”.
“In the middle of the day on Wednesday, the disturbance which hit the country on Tuesday is gradually moving northwards. In contact with colder air to the north, precipitation becomes snowy from Upper Normandy to Hauts-de-France,” forecasts Météo France.
According to the Seine-Maritime Weather page, the snow “will easily stick to the ground given the moderate intensities forecast” and we can expect layers of 2 to 5cm on the ground, “locally 10cm”. Météo France mentions “cumulative amounts of 5 to 10cm over the entire episode”.
The hills of the Pays de Caux, the heights of Rouen, the Pays de Bray and the Somme border should be the most affected areas.
For its part, the Météo Villes site announces “wet and cold weather with rain often mixed with snow until the end of the day – temporary clothing should be monitored”.
According to Météo France, precipitation should weaken “in the middle of the night from Wednesday to Thursday”.
