The Oujda Center for Human and Social Studies and Research (CERHSO) is organizing its eleventh annual scientific conference on January 9 and 10 under the theme “The paradoxes of the demographic dilemma in an anxious world.”
A press release from the Center indicates that this event, which will see the participation of eighteen experts and specialized university researchers, will address the theme of the conference and its strategic and international approaches, as well as its socio-economic issues and its regional and local events.
The meeting also aims to contribute to an overall reading of the results of the General Population and Housing Census, on the one hand, and to link them to the major strategic questions posed by the demographic dilemma, in order to develop both the intellectual approach and public debate, on this subject, closely linked to all the questions of the current stage and the challenges of the future.
According to the same source, this 11th conference will constitute an opportunity to discuss the demographic question in its general context, whether at the national level, marked by the reading, analysis and exploitation of the results of the RGPH-2024, or at the international level, where interest is growing in the multiple dimensions of the demographic question in its relationship with the principles of strategic security and social stability.
Participants will also address issues relating to economic growth and management of the social fabric, and relations between countries as part of the global development process.
The annual conference of the Oujda Center for Human and Social Studies and Research marks the opening of its scientific season, marked by a rich and varied program.
