Weather phenomenon
Following a widespread cold air mass across the entire northeast, a disturbance arrives at the end of
day and provides significantly softer air. It crosses the region from the southwest to the northeast.
The meeting of these two air masses will lead to winter precipitation when the disturbance arrives, from the end of the afternoon. We are therefore expecting snow followed by freezing rain. Precipitation will continue thereafter but should lose its freezing character.
