Until March 10, 2025, METRO France supports the 19th edition of the French Pizza Championship by hosting the regional stages in its Halles. In partnership with the Association of French Pizzerias (APF), the France Pizza Tour will allow the 110 best pizza makers to qualify for the grand final, which will take place on April 2 and 3, 2025 in Paris.
Starting in Lomme in September, passing through Bordeaux in November, the Pizza Tour* continues its journey through France. These regional stages will reveal the best pizza makers from all over France to participate in the final of the French Pizza Championship which will take place on April 2 and 3, 2025 at the Parizza Salon, at Paris Porte de Versailles.
To participate in the championship, candidates will have to undergo a single test: quality pizza. Their performance will be evaluated by a jury according to six criteria: preparation (including dress, hygiene, diameter of the pizza, time and general ease), taste (in particular the dough and flavor combinations) , baking, impasto technique, culinary skills, and plating. During the finals in Paris, a jury of experts will decide between the competitors on technical and creative challenges: speed, creation of the largest pizza, preparation of quality pizza, spectacular acrobatics, “pizza a due” duo bringing together a pizza maker and a chef, and a gourmet test around dessert pizza.
