It was a Line R agent who was intrigued by the unusual “luggage” of a traveler at the Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons station. (Seine-et-Marne)…A young man got on the train with a mini motorbikethis Wednesday 1is January 2025. Alerted, SNCF general surveillance (Suge) agents intercepted and checked the teenager at Melun station, the transport of this type of vehicle being prohibited.
The teenager with a mini-motorcycle in the R line was traveling with a gas and a knife
According to railway security, the motorcycle, which did not have a plate, did not belong to the individual. The latter was, however, in possession of a tear gas bomb and of narcotics. He was finally handed over to the national police. Aged 17, the young man who lives in Le Mée-sur-Seine, reportedly told the police that he was transporting the two-wheeler to repair it in order to sell it, as he could no longer use it.
He would have bought his pocket bike with a friend. He justified carrying the tear gas canister by indicating that he had recently been attacked and that he was carrying the gas “to defend himself in the event of an attack”. On him, the police also found a knife, which he said he had received as a “Christmas present”.
Soon summoned before a children's judge
As for the narcotics, these were small quantities of cannabis, but also CBD, as he would try to stop his drug use. If he will turn 18 very soon, he will be summoned before a children's judge to answer for carrying prohibited weapons, category D.
In November 2024, several young people were injured during a stabbing brawl on the RER E, at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station. In mid-December, a 15-year-old boy was injured again during a knife attack in the same station.
