The return of power everywhere is well underway. After the tens of thousands of outages which took place on Monday due to the passage of storm Floriane, all homes should be connected in the coming hours.
Enedis, the manager of the electricity distribution network, informed Le Parisien this Tuesday morning that electricity should be restored to all subscribers “by the end of the morning at the latest”. By 8:30 a.m., “almost all” of the repairs had already taken place. “There remain a few hundred households impacted, mainly in Seine-et-Marne.”
Enedis technicians continued their interventions until late Monday evening. “Since early this morning, they have been carrying out the final resupply operations.”
At the height of the disruptions, early Monday afternoon, up to 40,000 homes, or around 85,000 people, were without power. The most affected regions had been, at least in part, placed on orange alert by Météo France: Centre-Val de Loire, Île-de-France and Grand Est. By 6:30 p.m., the number of homes without power had already fallen to 12,000.
Enedis reminds you that you should not touch an electrical cable that has fallen to the ground. You should also not touch an object in contact with a power line.
