As part of its commitment to improve the safety of users on its roads, the Department of Seine-et-Marne has launched work to build a roundabout at the intersection of the RD34, avenue Albert-Sarraut and the path from Chantereine to Chelles. Supported by Brice Rabaste, mayor of Chelles, and Céline Netthavongs, departmental councilor, the project, estimated at 2.5 million euros, will secure the high-traffic intersection and mark the northern entrance to the city.

Olivier Lavenka, vice-president of the Department in charge of land use planning, roads, contractual policies and agriculture, declares: “The development embodies our desire to make the roads of Seine-et-Marne safer and more adapted to current needs. Thanks to the project, we are improving both the safety of motorists and the living environment of local residents while continuing to develop soft mobility. »

In addition to the roundabout, soft connections will be created to continue the development of cycle routes in the region, thus strengthening soft mobility.
