Gift Orban will not have fared well at Olympique Lyonnais. The Nigerian is already heading to the Bundesliga.

Orban relaunches in the Bundesliga

At OL, Gift Orban confirmed that he seemed to be losing momentum since his arrival, he has only played 21 matches for 5 small goals. On the behavioral level, above all, the former Stabaek was not impeccable, which did not help him to win against tough competition up front (Lacazette, Mikautadze…).

This winter transfer window will therefore see him leave OL less than a year after his arrival. A loss-making operation for Lyon, but not by much, and which will bring money into the coffers of a club closely monitored by the DNCG for its budget in the red.

Gift Orban was followed by several clubs; Will Still’s Racing had notably offered 8 million euros which did not convince Olympique Lyonnais.
