Mr. Legault said he had “a lot of hope” for Quebec in 2025. “We are a proud, strong nation, we know how to stand up, stick together when necessary. We have everything we need to accomplish great things,” he said.
The Prime Minister also wished a happy new year and good health to the population. “Being able to get up in the morning, walk outside, play sports, that’s the greatest wealth,” he said.
“I hope you take the time to see people, do things that make you happy,” he added.
He called on young people to “think big” for the new year, wishing them success.
“You have the right to think big, to trust each other, we need you to move Quebec forward,” said the Prime Minister.
At the federal level, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wished Canadians a happy new year in a publication on the social network X.
“Whether you’re at home or abroad feeling homesick, 2025 is going to bring new challenges and new opportunities. But one thing is certain: our country is strong and free, and we are proud of our home,” he wrote.
