On December 15, the town of Montbenoît organized its traditional Christmas tree. Around sixty people responded. The children were expected at 3 p.m. at the abbey to present their show.
A unique abseiling descent
After their demonstration, everyone gathered in front of the building to discover the tall man with the white beard at the top of the bell tower. And for the first time, he abseiled down the abbey. “A spectacular and controlled descent with several papillote releases impressed young and old alike”underlines Gilles Magnin-Feysot, deputy mayor for the town of Montbenoît. 3 members of the PSIG were requisitioned to ensure the descent.
“It is thanks to the partnership with the PSIG that the action was able to be carried out”thanks Gilles Magnin-Feysot. The afternoon ended with the distribution of gifts and souvenir photos, as well as a collective snack.
