After a late-night New Year's Eve, if you have a little strength left to go to the stores this January 1, don't rush… you risk finding the curtains closed. Who says New Year's Day called public holidaySO very few businesses are open. Here are which ones to Toulouse.

Shopping a 1ᵉʳ January

These will undoubtedly be the only stores which you will see open this Wednesday, January 1, 2025, so here is the list of the main places to do your shopping:

• Carrefour City Saint-Exupéry, located 280 Av. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Carrefour City Jules Julien, located at 121 avenue Jules Julien, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Carrefour City Bachelier, located 44 place Bachelier, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Carrefour City Glory, located 3 avenue de la Gloire, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Carrefour Express Minimes, located at 49 boulevard des Minimes, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Carrefour City Camille Pujol, located at 68 avenue Camille Pujol, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Carrefour City Saint-Michel, located at 105 grand-rue Saint-Michel, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Regarding shopping centers, all are closed. So it’s impossible to go to big stores like IKEA, Leroy Merlin… The same goes for small shops in the city center. Only the pharmacies and other so-called “on-call” places will welcome you.

On the administrative services side

The Toulouse town hall informs that nothing will work on this Wednesday, January 1 in terms of administrative services. Alone the civil status service ensures a permanenceonly for declarations of deathfrom 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. To do this, go to 2 rue de l'Abbé Jules-Lemire.

Sport and culture?

Same fate for the sporting and cultural world. All places belonging to the metropolis or municipality will display closed doors. This is the case for swimming pools, ice rinks (except that of the Capitol, open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.), libraries, media libraries, museums, etc.

Household waste

Concerning the collection of household waste, like on Christmas Day, it is not assured this Wednesday January 1 except in the city center of Toulouse.
