In order to prevent any incident or disturbance of public order during the end-of-year celebrations, the prefect of Vaucluse, Thierry Suquet, issued two decrees aimed at regulating the sale and transport of all flammable products in containers, as well as the use of fireworks on public roads. The prefect calls for everyone's responsibility for a safe New Year's Eve.
Thus, since Monday December 30 and until Thursday January 2 at 8 a.m., specific measures have been taken in the department: the purchase, sale, possession, transport and use of category fireworks F2 and F3 in public places are prohibited. The provisions do not apply to professionals and people who have obtained an exemption in the context of authorized fireworks. Certain items are authorized by order of December 17, 2021.
> The retail sale of fuel in any transportable container is prohibited. Managers of service stations, particularly those with automated fuel dispensing devices or pumps, must ensure compliance with this requirement.
> The transport of fuel in any container, such as bottle, can or jerrican, is prohibited;
> The sale and transport of acid as well as alcohol and all flammable or chemical products are prohibited.
