Dacia maintained its third place on the podium for best-selling passenger vehicles in France last year. In terms of figures, Dacia’s market share in our country last year stood at 14.6% and 119,230 units of passenger vehicles registered, in other words a second step in terms of sales to individuals. As for the models, unsurprisingly, it was the Sandero which won the prize in 2024 with 75,978 registrations recorded, an increase of 10% compared to the previous year in France. (and third place in its category behind the Renault Clio and the Peugeot 208), while the Duster consolidated its position as the best-selling SUV to individuals in France with 41,886 registrations (+ 28.4%).
Waiting for the Bigster
On the other hand, if the Jogger was last year in our country the C segment vehicle most sold to individuals with 21,969 registrations, the model showed a drop of -11.7% compared to 2023. An observation to the drop also for the Spring (5,144 units registered, i.e. – 82% compared to 2023) but not yet significant, since the 100% electric city car has launched renewed on the market in the fall of 2024. Finally, the new Sales Director France of Dacia Olivier Mornet, wants to be optimistic for the year which is starting: “We are approaching 2025 with optimism: new Duster and new Spring will be marketed over the full year and Bigster, Dacia’s offering on the C-SUV market, is arriving in the spring.”
