“Brittany, Mayenne, Anjou, Alsace, Limoges…“Seated with all the members of his family, David le Roux highlights the regions from which each one comes. The gîte in question is located in the village of Lavignac, in the heart of Haute-Vienne. In the winter fog that bathes the house, we can see a few Limousin cows grazing the surrounding meadows. It’s this space and rural charm that the family was looking for. The stone residence chosen for the holidays can easily accommodate ten people gathered together. “There were other lodges, but not all allowed dogssmiles Anne-Maëlle. We made the funnel, and then grandma found that the room with places for her and the granddaughters was perfect!“
In Limousin, so-called “large format” gîtes are always popular. During the end-of-year holidays, they are the first to stock up. “This is a time when there is high demandexplains Marie Dumaître, director of Gîtes de France in Haute-Vienne. These accommodations are close to 100% occupancy rate.”

For the Christmas week, the Gîtes de France in Haute-Vienne were 70% full. And the New Year's one turns out to be quite satisfactory: “The New Year's week is a little behind, with more short stays which will frame New Year's Eve and which will make it possible to reach more or less 60% occupancy rate.“
