Success for the 12th edition of La grande dictée proposed by the Lire et Dire 47 association at the Saint-Sylvestre village hall. 46 adults and 17 children participated. The adults looked at a text by Julien Gracq: “An abandoned house”. There were more children than in previous editions. Two texts were offered according to their academic level. For older children: “My friend the fly”, a remarkable text without a known author. For the youngest: “La biche” by Colette. The dictation was followed by the awarding of prizes and a friendly moment of sharing around a drink and pastries. The Lire et Dire 47 association brings together readers wishing to share the joys of reading during meetings where everyone presents a book report and reads extracts. Readers meet on the 1st Monday of each month, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Vermillon room at the multisports space on rue de Galiane in St-Sylvestre. She runs reading workshops with members of the Maison des Femmes du Villeneuve-sur-Lot, for readings and discussions on the lives of women, and is working on a project to address the elderly, whether in homes. retirement or at home. It also offers readings for school children and college students, libraries, and users of associative places. The association is open to all, for a modest annual fee.
